Lisa D.Verified This is a solid neighborhood pizza spot! Flavorful crust and generous toppings. Hope this continues to be a delicious option for years to come! Jacob M.Verified Best pizza in town! This will remind you of the pizza you would get at sleep overs as a kid. But I guess that's the point of the name "Sleep Over Pizza"! Aaron is a true master at his craft. Come hungry and you won't leave disappointed. Alton D.Verified Hidden away on the corner of an unassuming street lies one of the best Detroit style pizzas you can experience in the area. Helmed by Aaron, a master craftsman of a pizza artist with over 20 years under his belt, each item on their menu is guaranteed to delight your taste buds. When I arrived, Aaron greeted me and was very kind to my questions. I was curious to see what kind of establishment it was, and he gave me the lore behind the legend which included the transition of the lands he was bestowed from the Pie Spot ( another lovely establishment). My order didn't take too long for a Detroit Pizza ( thicker crust ), only about 15 minutes. It had a great crispy undercarriage and chewy top. The cheese was perfectly caramelized in the sides, and each topping stood out in flavor very well! They have a small menu, which is always a great sign in my opinion. Higher quality and control is typically what it means. Portland is known for an abundance of great Pizza options, but in regard to Detroit Pizza, this is definitely at the upper echelon. Give them a try if you've never had Detroit Pizza! It'll set a new standard for you! Cody P.Verified This place rocks. I've had it like 3-4 times now since I found it, and I'll keep having more. Good luck stopping me! People, do yourselves a favor and try a delicious sleepover pizza. Just save some for me! John O.Verified Worth the trip from the westside! I actually found out about this place from a friend of mine in Indiana who messaged me saying I had to try it. Im glad I did. This is definitely a situation of quality over quantity. If you're a big fella like me, the large will be no problem for you! I got the 954 and the Hawaiian. No exaggeration, this was the best Hawaiian pizza I've ever had. I absolutely loved it, as did my kiddo and his mom (who usually doesn't mess with Hawaiian pizza). The 954 was also amazing. The only issue i had was ordering. The site didnt let me select a pick-up time, and there was no phone number to call. The price is a big higher for a cheap guy who usually buys the manhole cover size pizzas from costco.... and it was definitely worth it. Great pizza, and I'll be making the drive again from the westside to enjoy this soon. Nicole O.Verified I'm picky about pizza. I've said it before in prior reviews, and I'm sure I'll say it again. Sleepover is a win in my book, from crust, to sauce, to topping and everything in between (is there anything else? I don't think so... but just in case). The crust is just amazing. It's baked to perfection, to where you have a sturdy & crispy-crunchy bite, but not so crispy where you cut your lips & mouth into smithereens... you know the slices. It's also puffy & pillowy and oh so chewy... so perfect, in fact, that my dogs were shooting daggers at me for not sharing my crusties with the them. But do you see that the toppings go edge to edge? Yea... no real crusties there, girls, sorry not sorry. The sauce is everything this East Coast Italian girlie dreams of: there was some sweet, some tang, it had a jammy, tomato-y mouth feel... I could honestly have eaten just the crust & sauce by itself. Which, coincidentally is known as Party Pizza back home in RI, so maybe I need to see if I can just buy that next time too The toppings on both pies were plentiful, and neither overbearing to the point where you could no longer taste either the crust or the sauce, which to me equals a perfect pie. I'm normally a pepperoni girl, but the Hawaiian had my heart, with its salty ham & sweet pineapple a perfect balance to each other, and a delicious complement to the sauce & crust. Since this was a take home order, I wasn't the one to pick it up, but my roommate said it was basically window service, and it was ready at the time indicated. He was a little frustrated by the online ordering, but he's also technically challenged, so take that with a grain of salt. The cost may feel high, but I 100% feel like you get what you pay for: the quality is top tier and I wish Sleepover were closer to home as it's 17miles away, so quite a hike. The pies are on the smaller side, but could definitely feed 2 people alongside a salad for a nice meal.Yelp rating score: 4.8 of 5, based on 6 reviews
